As a practioner I work with the Transactional Analysis psychotherapy model.
Transactional Analysis has three core values:
1) I’m ok you’re ok! – The therapist and the client are of equal value in the relationship and are both responsible for the work.
2) People can think for themselves – you can take responsibility and be independent from outside influences
3) You can change if you want to – you do not have to revisit the same harmful patterns of behaviour again and again and instead investigate new positive ways of being
Whilst being mindful of these three assumptions we will work together to agree on what you want from the therapy and how we will work towards those goals in a safe, respectful and non-judgmental environment.
I believe in being an active participant in the therapeutic work where we are both engaged in the process of finding new and authentic ways of relating with each other, with ourselves and the world around us.
